A period that saw a major transition in the ships. The last foreign build, wartime ships to new constructed ships on Dutch yards. The evolution of the anti-submarine destroyers, through Dutch Leanders. At the end of the period the GW-frigate (Guide Weapon) Tromp had just been completed.
